Stampin Up Perennial Flower Punch - step up water lilies & chrysanthemums

Perennial Flower Punch from Stampin Up is a really versatile flower punch. Learn how to make water lilies and chrysanthemums with an easy step by step tutorial.

Punch 10 of the Perennial Flower punch flowers in whatever dsp patterned paper you would like. Make sure the patterned paper is similar colour tones on both sides to ensure the flower has that realistic look.

The white flower was made using just copy paper and would look great sprayed with a hint of colour.

The centres of the water lilies being more open could take a faceted gem, pearl or other embellishment. Pop them on top of a box or project as a topper or make a few and put them in a dish as a pretty centre piece.

Here is the step by step video tutorial to show you how to make both the water lily and chrysanthemum.

Don't Trash Your Scraps - make simple paperclip embellishments

As a crafter we always end up with lots of scraps ad some of them we think are too small to do anything with.  Well don't trash your scraps use them to make these lovely paperclip embellishments.

All you need is a few paperclips I used 2" ones and some left over scraps of dsp patterned paper.  I used the Bird Ballad dspwhich has some lovely patterns and like all Stampin Up dsp it is double sided so chose whichever odd scraps you want.  Paperclips are ideal to use as they can clip onto a project, card, notebook or journal and are an idea craft fair project.

By using the paperclip this way round, the embellishments will sit neatly inside the project and not protrude.

Watch the step by step video tutorial and turn your scraps into embellishments.

Stampin Up A Good Man, Quick Stamparatus tip for masking sentiments.

A Good Man stamp set is perfect for all those male cards as it has some fantastic line drawings and sentiments.  See how to use the Stamparatus positioning tool to quickly mask sentiments for the hinge step technique.

The sentiment read I Grew Up Loved but as this card was for one of my son's I wanted to change it to just the Loved  which was more appropriate (even though they grew up loved it wasn't mum's place to say it lol)

Haven't got the Stamparatus positioning tool yet? Buy it HERE

Rather than using masking tape to cover each part of the word to be removed I have found a really quick tip, which saves so much time.  Watch my video to see.

Stampin Up A Good Man - Relax Your Way Under A Tree With A Drink

A Good Man stamp buy from my shop now is a great set for making a variety of male cards, especially for father's and Dad's.

This set has some lovely images and I have chosen the man relaxing in a deck chair for this example.

Colouring doesn't have to be difficult or complicated and by using the Aqua Painterwhich comes in a pack of two, and a few ink pads you can create a lovely water colour effect.

Have a look at my step by step video tutorial to see how to make this card.  Guess where I got the drink stamp from?  I think it finished the card off beautifully.

The metallic pearls that I used have now retired, but there are lots of different embellishments you could use instead. Have a look here HERE

A pop of Wink of Stella on the word dance and the dancers finished the card.  I love line drawings and being able to colour them to tone in with whatever card you want.

I have lots of poppies growing in my garden covered in butterflies and bumble bees and this was my inspiration for this card.

All of these poppies were self seeded by the birds and each year I collect the seed and then sprinkle in the garden in the Spring  and have a lovely bloom of poppies.

Card inspiration can come from so many things and nature and our gardens in one wonderful way.

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you how to make this card for yourself.

Stampin Up #simplestamping with 2 ink pads and host set Believe You Can

Welcome to all beginner stampers. Learn how to use just 2 ink pads to create lots of different colour tones with the Believe You Can stamp Set.

When we start stamping it can be sometimes overwhelming with all the different products that you can buy and unless you have oodles of spare cash there is only a limit to what you can spend.

Stamp sets are what we want to spend out money on and then we discover that we don't have any inks to use and the budget shoots up.  Well these cards use just 2 colours of ink Flirty Flamingo for the flowers, sentiments and banner, and Old Olive

You can see how many pretty shades of pink you can achieve for the flowers, banner and sentiments and the leaves are various shades of green, all with the green ink pad Old Olive.

This stamp set is a little bit different from the other stamp sets in the catalogue.  It is called a Host Set, which means you can only get it with Stampin Rewards and for the 14 stamps it is only £12.

How do you become a host and earn Stampin Rewards? Well if you place an order of £150 you automatically qualify as a host and can choose a host set for a discount. Host sets can only be earned this way.

So who can benefit from this -

The Beginner or New crafter - I want to start crafting but need paper (cardstock), patterned papers (dsp) inks and blocks to put my stamps on and of course a few stamp sets. Oh and maybe some ribbon and some pretty embellishments

The Casual Crafter - I have just got the new Annual Catalogue and there are some lovely new stamp sets and bundles and suites which I really like.

The Avid Crafter - Oh my the New Annual Catalogue has just come out and I want these suites with everything in them to add to my collection.

Whichever type of crafter and stamper you are the Host sets can be for you, and who doesn't love a greatly reduced stamp set?

The new Annual catalogue is available to see HERE an if you would like a hard copy posted to you, I am happy to put one in the post if you are in the UK, and Europe. Just drop me a message with your address and I will get one out to you.

Have a look at the Believe You Can host set HERE and add it to your order of £150 or more with your Stampin Rewards.

I always try and make your lives easier by making a step by step video tutorial, which is FREE to you all to watch, save and use again and again.  Subscribe to my YouTube channel so you can take advantage of the several hundred tutorials for you.

Stampin Up Bird Ballad Suite - Make 3 Feather cards

The new Stampin Up Annual catalogue is live. Visit my shop to buy the new products HERE

The BIRD BALLAD SUITE is everything birds and more.  The project today is 3 cards using elements from the Bird Ballad Suite.

The Bird Ballad patterned paper is 12 sheets of 12" x 12" double side paper, with lots of designs which with a pair of scissors ca be fussy cut out to make literally hundreds of cards.

I chose 9 feathers cuts from a tiny strip of this paper to make these 3 cards.

By using coordinating colours of So Saffron, Sahara Sand and Pool Party with the feathers the card really pops and with a different sentiment on each one, it makes for a lovely collection.  Make 6 and make a little gift box to put them in to delight any of your friends and family.

As always I take the time to make a video tutorial to show you how easily you can make these lovely cards for yourself.  Do give it a try and remember you can buy all these lovely products from the new annual catalogue now.

Make a simple bookmark with hidden message tag insert using Bird Ballad Stampin Up

Make a simple bookmark with a hidden message tag insert using Bird Ballad Stampin Up

Whenever a new catalogue is launched the first thing I turn to is the patterned paper and in the Stampin Up new annual catalogue you won't be disappointed as there are some gorgeous papers.

Patterned papers are great from cards but for any 3d project they really come into their own.  The Bird Ballad dsp, patterned paper  has bird elements which you can fussy cut out and lots of floral images to team those birds with.

Todays project is a bookmark with a twist.  There is a hidden message tag for you to write a hidden message or an inspirational quote.

It is a lovely project to make so here is what you'll need.

For the bookmark -one piece of 6" x6" patterned paper scored at 2" and 4"
For the tag insert -one piece of patterned paper 4 1/2" x 1 3/4 with a white matt 1/8" wider
Two birds fussy cut out of the patterned paper
4 labels from the Stitched Nested Labels Dies

All of these products are available in the new annual catalogue launching 4th June and can be bought from my shop (link at top of this page) or click HERE

Here is a step by step video showing you how to make the bookmark

If you missed the journal tutorial which I show at the end of the bookmark video and fits the bookmark in the inside tuck spot then her it is again

Joy Of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge Blog June 2019 #JOSTTT06

Hello and welcome to this months Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge Blog.

The Grid this month is

I have chosen the middle line Pattern Paper, Banner and floral. The card I have made is using minimal supplies as the dsp or patterned paper is the real focal point.  This is a brand new paper called Perennial Essence which is the new annual catalogue from Stampin Up which launches on the 4th June.

This piece reminds me of Monet and the water lilies, but quite honestly every page is beautiful.

So the patterned paper is the focal point with the lovely floral image and the little banner is a sentiment from the coordinating Floral Essence stamp set. With a little twine and one of the lovely bulldog clips (library clips)

Fancy having a go at this months challenge then just follow the link HERE
