Tenny Tiny Origami book/notebook charm/tag - ideal for craft fairs

A great craft fair or gift these teeny tiny origami notebooks charms/tags.

The covers for these little books use patterned paper, dsp (designer series paper) and at Stampin Up we have so many designs to choose from.  Buy yours HERE

I love origami projects as they are simply paperfolding to create something wonderful and these teeny tiny little notebooks are really simple to make and yet can be used as part of a tag, or a hanging charm, or a craft fair ideas, or just to stand alone a cute little book to write tiny little notes in.

Use up those pieces of patterned paper as you only need 1 piece measuring 6" x 3" and then 10 sheets of copy paper at 6" x 3"

This project is so simple and easy and yet created these darling little books. Secure with some twine or ribbon and attach some twine or ribbon in the top of the spine to hang them from a gift .

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you just how simple this project is to make. Do have a go.

Well it's fun. Shares creativity round the world. I will show your coins on my blog and YouTube channel so promoting your name, and above all I think spreading the love of creative art brings joy to everyone who not only makes, but also receives.

Here is an example of some Artist Trading Coins to give you some ideas.

You can use patterned paper dsp, sponging, masking, die cuts, colouring, really anything goes as long as it will fit on a 2 1/2" circle.

Here is a set of 6 made from strips and pieces of white card which I coloured with various alcohol markers, die cut some butterflies and then added some tiny words.

I would be delighted if you would all join in and have some fun in making these little works of art.  It is a great way to use your creativity in a small size.  Use different techniques and styles, they make a great reference library to build up of different styles and techniques.

I've made a video tutorial which will hopefully give some ideas and get your creativity flowing and am really excited to start a swap/share that will hopefully span the globe.

Have fun and look forward to seeing your Artist Trading Coins.

Stamping on Mugs using Stampin Up Blends & Stamp Sets.

Learn how to create beautiful DIY hand stamped mugs which can be regularly used and washed without images disappearing using Stampin Up Blends and stamp sets. Easy DIY project to make at home.

Make these pretty decorated mugs simply and easily.

Instructions.

Choose cheap thick mugs where the glaze is quite heavy and the mug is quite solid. These were bought from the local pound store.

Clean the mug thoroughly and dry.  You can use Stazon cleaner to ensure there is no residue on the mug (bit like using the embossing buddy to make sure there is no static or finger marks)

Use Stazon ink and ensure stamp is well inked up.

Roll slowly with firm even pressure to ensure a clear transfer of image onto the mug.

Colour with Stampin Blends making sure you do not go over the black Stazon outline, as it will smear.

Allow to dry for minimum of 30 mins.

Place in a cold oven on a tray and turn oven to high. Once temperature has been reached cook for 30 minutes.  Turn oven off and leave to cool before removing to stop cracking.

Wash mug with warm soapy water. Not dishwasher proof.  The image will not wash off if care is taken not to scour or put in dishwasher.

I have made a step by step video tutorial for you to enjoy. Have a go and make some mugs for yourself, as gifts, craft fair ideas, fill with sweets and goodies for wedding favours, present giving and of course Christmas.

Some of the questions I'm asked about becoming a demonstrator.

I can't demonstrate so how can I become a demonstrator?
You don't have to demonstrate anything. A lot of people join just to get a minimum of 20% discount on stamps, inks and papers which they love.

I don't want to sell anything?
Nor did I. I have a passion for crafting and as I shared this with friends, made and sent cards to them, I got asked where I had got these lovely things and I started getting orders. From there I started posting on my facebook page and now do regular YouTube videos. This has brought some lovely customers, who want to buy Stampin Up products for their quality and coordination.

I still don't want to sell anything?
Then don't.  Buy what you want for you and your crafting hobby. Just take advantage of getting a discount on everything you buy.

Where's the catch?
We all think that if we get something free there has to be a catch? Well there really isn't. Choose your £155 of products and pay £99. This is called your Starter Kit.  You get to keep this whatever, no catch.  Continue to get a regular discount of  20% off everything you buy.  If you decide it is not for you then stop.

I have been a demonstrator for several years now and I don't regret a second of it.  I have met some wonderful people, enjoyed being part of a crafting community, have learned so much about stamping and paper crafting and above all love sharing this with others.

So if you have always wondered what being a Stampin Up Demonstrator is like, then I will be happy to tell you my experience and welcome you into my team.
