Homemade beads

Well with all this snow still on the ground and it starting to fall again the best thing to do is stay in the warm and get crafty.

I have been experimenting with making my own beads using some of the Stampin Up! designer series paper and crystal effects which is a lacquer which dries really hard and clear and is perfect.

Firstly I cut lots of long triangular shaped pieces of paper and using a cocktail stick rolled them up. Then I covered them with several coats of crystal effects lacquer and left to dry.

I am really pleased with the results and have made a necklace and hope to do some bracelets and earrings too.

The Stampin' Up! designer series paper is so pretty and colourful and it just goes to show that there are so many more things to do with Stampin' Up! products than just card making.

As always allmark.j@sky.com if you would like to know more about Stampin' Up! products, order a catalogue or buy any of their great ranges.

Thanks for looking :))
