Stampin Up Winter Woods - how to get birch trees to stand out

I love trees and everything to do with woods, so when Stampin Up brought out the Winter Woods Bundle I knew I had to get it.

So it arrived today and it is just fantastic.  The first thing I wanted to try was to use the silver birches and try and get them to stand out from the background.  So this is my first way of achieving this.

I used the Merry Merlow copper reversible ribbon which worked beautifully with the Tranquil Tide and the lovely leaf which is a die in the set and creates a leaf with embossed veins.  I cut the sentiment down so it just said Thinking of You. Merry Merlot Copper Reversible Ribbon
