Joy of Sets Challenge #jos001 The Letter F

I am very excited to have been asked to be one of the Design Team on the Joy of Sets Challenge Blog which goes live today July 4th.  Every two weeks, as part of the Design Team I will be posting a new project to give you all ideas for this challenge.

The first challenge #jos001 The Letter F I have chosen a fusion card taking the Floral Statements stamp set and removing the "H" from the Hello stamp and one of the flowers and adding them to the Happy Birthday Thinlets Dies to create a lovely floral card

.I have made a video for you to follow to see exactly how I created this card and to make it easy for you all to have a go.

I coloured the floral images with our Watercolour Pencils and then lightly washed using the Aquapainter brush.

Stampin Up Floral Statements.

Stampin Up Floral Statements

Floral Statements is a lovely stamp set and like all Stampin Up products there are so may possibilities.

These card I made to look like some of the old water colour prints and line drawings of the pretty Victorian illustrators.  The background was achieved simply by inking up one of our acrylic blocks with Wild Wasabi green ink and stamping on a piece of cardstock.  The Floral Statements image was then stamped over the top in archival black ink and then coloured in using a combination of water colour pencils and stampin write markers.

Stampin Up Floral Statements

Stampin Up Floral Statements

Following on from my video where I showed you how to colour the lovely rose image with a vibrant red I thought I would show you the two cards in the video and how I finished them.

This image I had only just coloured one of the roses so I decided to make the rest monochrome using smoky slate and the aqaupainter and just coloured the complete area apart from the one rose. I then just added a small ring to pop out the rose by cutting two concentric circles in black cardstock. A simple yet effective card and very easy to achieve.

This image I just added the sentiment from the Hello Sunshine thinlets dies in sweet sugarplum and then stamped around the edges in the floral leaves from the Timeless Textures stamp set.

These other two images were on the video so as you can see there are so many different combinations to create a beautiful card with the stamp set and I am sure it will become a very popular set in the new Annual Catalogue.

If you missed the video, here it is again and do look at subscribing to my blog and YouTube channel as I post regularly with all the latest products from Stampin Up.
