As promised yesterday, here is the second part of my lovely framed backgrounds using Brusho and Vegas Gold Shimmer Paint.
This is a snowflake card using the dies from the Seasonal Layers Framelits makes a beautiful clean and simple card by just putting the frame and a sentiment on a white card base.
Good quality Water Colour Paper is essential and Stampin Up Watercolour paper is excellent.
As always here is a FREE video tutorial, to show you exactly how I made this card.
Stitched Shapes Framelits give you the picture frames. Take the largest and second largest squares and follow the video.
Here is the first video in this series which shows you how I started the night sky background

The fun part of this card is that you cut around the flower and leaf images and the inside sentiment tucks neatly underneath.
The secret to the success of the cut away area of the card is to ensure that all the stamped images run right across the card and are quite close together.
The ink pads I used for this card were,
Flirty Flamingo, Berry Burst, Calypso Coral and Powder Pink for the large flowers
The 5 minute video will show you how I made this card and put it together and please look to subscribe to my YouTube channel as I post regular videos and try to keep them just long enough to sit and watch with a cup of coffee.

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. Colourful Seasons is my one go to stamp set as it has something for everyone. It is the stamp set that I recommend for all my beginners as there is so much to choose from.
This card is using the snowflakes from the set and the coordinating die set to make a lovely simple Christmas card.
If you don't have the Big Shot to create the cut out snowflakes you can always repeat the stamp pattern in a coordinating colour perhaps pool party. I used smokey slate for the snowflakes some silver foil paper.
I have used this stamp set in my beginners video as the set I would choose for its versatility. If you are just starting out then this is a good guide to help choose your first tool box.

How to create a fun background using torn paper and Colourful Seasons stamp set.
When you begin as a stamper there is so much to learn and so many products to buy. However as we all know that unless we win the lottery or suddenly become millionaires we have to pace ourselves and build up our supplies gradually. So creating fun and different backgrounds is a way of coordinating our supplies and creating lots of different effects without spending on new supplies.
The torn paper technique is suitable for everyone from beginners to advanced crafters and the possibilities are endless with different colour themes.
I have given you a video so you can see step by step how to achieve this background.
Please do subscribe to my YouTube video channel and this blog as I post regular videos and craft ideas and cards for you to gain inspiration from.
All products are available to buy through my shop button above.

Thank you for all your custom and support, you are all very valued.
Sometimes we seem to forget that not everybody has a die cutting machine such as a Big Shot and the idea of die cutting is not everybody's taste. As a crafter I love to do all types of cards and yes I love my Big Shot but sometimes a simpler approach can give a beautiful result.

Very excited today as was playing around trying to create different beach scenes as the weather is so hot and sunny and I came up with an idea of how to turn the Beautiful You lady into a bikini clad beach babe. Wearing a hat in the sea and putting lots of sunscreen on has become the norm these days so she certainly looks very at home in this scene.
