Stampartus Simple One Layer Card using New Nature's Beauty & Beauty & Joy

The Stampin Up Autumn/Winter Holiday catalogue is available 4th September 2019. Get in touch for your FREE copy.

Today's sneak peek is the lovely Nature's Beauty and this will be a very special stamp set as £2.50 from every purchase will be donated to Mental Health Organisation.  So please do your bit and on the 4th September when this set is available buy your stamp set from my shop.

With Christmas fast approaching, I  know that us crafters try and get a head start on our card making and projects for the holiday season and with the launch of the Stampin Up Autumn/Winter catalogue on the 4th September there will be lots of choose from. Over the coming weeks I hope to share with you some of these products to help in your buying choices.

Postage is always something to consider when making cards as it seems to be getting more and more expensive and really does depend on the thickness of your card.  This card is a one layer card and uses the STAMPARATUS in my opinion the best positioning tool on the market. It makes creating this wreath super easy.

If you missed the DIY wreath template instructions see them HERE

Here is  a step by step video tutorial to show you how to make this card *please note that I used the Beauty and Joy new stamp set for the sentiment and the little berries to finish off the card, however this was after I had finished the video as I thought it needed a little extra something and decided to make it a Christmas card.

Stampin Up A Good Man, Quick Stamparatus tip for masking sentiments.

A Good Man stamp set is perfect for all those male cards as it has some fantastic line drawings and sentiments.  See how to use the Stamparatus positioning tool to quickly mask sentiments for the hinge step technique.

The sentiment read I Grew Up Loved but as this card was for one of my son's I wanted to change it to just the Loved  which was more appropriate (even though they grew up loved it wasn't mum's place to say it lol)

Haven't got the Stamparatus positioning tool yet? Buy it HERE

Rather than using masking tape to cover each part of the word to be removed I have found a really quick tip, which saves so much time.  Watch my video to see.

Stampin Up Happy Tails stamp set and punch bundle

Ive really been enjoying using my DIY wreath builder template with the small grid paper for the STAMPARATUS positioning tool and this time I have made a cut waggy dog card with all their tails interlocking into a lovely circular pattern. Buy the small grid paper for £6 for 50 sheets HERE

This technique of using die cuts I saw from Jennifer McGuire a fellow crafter and I used her technique with the punch from Happy Tails.

The dogs I simply coloured with a wash using the AQUA PAINTER and Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate ink pads.  I then punched them out and then used a punched negative as my guide to place each one of the punched dogs to create the circular pattern.

I love the way the tails interlock and the heads poke out.  With a few little paw prints this card would be great for all of us dog lovers out there. Buy the Happy Tails Bundle HERE

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you how to make this card. How to align your sentiments easily with the Stamparatus & some window sheet.

This is the easiest tip ever.  Ever struggled getting sentiments aligned and find that they are crooked or just not where you expected them to be? Use the STAMPARATUS and some window sheet or the sheet from the retired Stamp-a-Majig for an easy way to ensure your stamps are straight.

This cute little card uses the THIS LITTLE PIGGY stamp set and there are several different techniques for you to try.

Hinge step stamping - Masking - Window sheet sentiment placement.

Here is a step by step video tutorial for you to see exactly how to do these techniques. So do give them a try and let me know how you get on.

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your day.

Stamparatus Grid Paper Wreath Template - Step by Step video tutorial .

How to make Grid Paper Wreath Template for Stamparatus - Step by Step video tutorial.

Well I have been absolutely overwhelmed at how my grid paper wreath template has been received. Thank you to my subscribers for requesting the tutorial and to all the new subscribers that this tutorial has inspired. Welcome.

When the Stamparatus was launched I made an acetate wreath template which I used for making lovely circular patterns. When the SMALL GRID PAPER came out to perfectly fit the Stamparatus it made a perfect base, with all of the grid measurements to make a wreath template.

This wreath template is for a 4" square and a 5" square, but by using the grid lines you can make any size you wish. You can see Ive started a 3" square one in the middle.

This is how I did it - a step by step video tutorial

I hope you find this useful and will give it a try.

Subscribe to my YouTube channel and click the notification button so you don't miss any of the upcoming videos as I will be giving you some ideas using current Stampin Up stamp sets to create some lovely cards using the grid wreath template and the Stamparatus.

Stampin Up - Easy background technique using glycerine and Enjoy Life stamp set

Have you ever struggled creating background? They can be quite tricky and blending is a bit of an art and can take time to master.  I have had many people comment about how easy I make blending a background with sponge daubers and it is sometimes difficult not to get little blobby circles and to now create a smooth blend.

Well I have a solution for you. Glycerine. The glycerine I use is for baking and is Dr Oetker, comes in a little bottle you can buy from most baking or cooking shops and most supermarkets sell it in the baking isle.  It is inexpensive and a little goes a long way.

Watch the video to see just how easy a background comes together with just a few drops of glycerine.

These were the lovely cards I created

Now as crafters we all make mistakes and bloopers and if you watch the video you will see a couple and how I rectified one.

ENJOY LIFE was the stamp set, which is such a great silhouette stamp set andlends itself to background techniques.

STAMPARATUS is the best positioning tool on the market at a great price point, so treat yourself and change the way you stamp forever.

Thanks so much for everyone who has subscribed to my YouTube channel and blog and if you haven't already then please do as I post lots of ideas and inspiration for you to have a go with.
