Reuben Joel

On valentines day my beautiful little grandson came into the world and to celebrate I made this card for the family to go in the keepsake box for a very special new little boy.

I used the sunshine & sprinkes designer series paper with little blue whales and rainbows and the other side of the paper was fluffy blue clouds which I used to frame the letters.

The sunshine & sprinkles paper is £9.95  for 12 double sided 12" x 12" sheets and it is stunning, with gorgous spring colours.  It is in the new spring catalogue which I am happy to send if you mail me allmark.j@sky.com & for every £45 you spend you can choose one of 17 freebies in the Sale-A-Bration leaflet.  Sale-A-Bration ends 22nd March so make the most of this time and if you need anything to increase your crafting stash now really is a great time to make the most of these great FREE offers.

Stampin' Up Punch Art Easter chicks

Well I have been having fun with some of my punches creating an easter chick.  I used the oval punch as the shell and the bird punch for the chick.  Tried not to be traditional so used shades of blue.  With the blossom punch and label punch it created a complete card with no stamping.  I used a little ink to sponge round the edge of the blossom punch.  A pretty brad and a sentiment and the card was complete.

Stampin' Up product range is huge so if you want to increase your stash with some fun and exciting things drop me a mail allmark.j@sky.com and I'd be glad to help.

Stampin' Up doilies

I have just got some of the Stampin' Up doilies.  They are great as they are small enough to fit a card perfectly and have a lovely delicate design.  The first card I sponged the doilie and the second card I left the doilie clean.  Two different ideas and the doilies just add a different dimension to the card.

You get 24 doilies for £2.75 (10.2cm diameter) so they are a real bargain.

If you want to order then drop me a mail allmark.j@sky.com

Stampin' Up Spring Sampler

I really love this stamp set as there are so many stamps to use.  Today I was continuing with my Easter cards and as I have a lot of people who love the outdoors and allotmenting this card was perfect.

Sunshine, watering can & plants, rain and wellies, the perfect combination for all our lovely veggies to grow.  I really enjoy my allotment and although at this time of year it is far too boggy or frosty to do much in just a few weeks I will be digging and preparing for the first plants to go in.

For all your Stampin' Up products just email me allmark.j@sky.com and don't forget that before 22nd March you can still get a free Sale-A-Bration item with every £45

Stampin' Up! - cupcake & doilies

Well I have now been without heating for 5 days and my poor little home is like an ice box.  Still have managed to make a few cards as my little card stall at work is in need of some Easter cards and I have had a lot of requests.

I have a really lovely new stamp set called Spring Sampler which has lots of lovely stamps, so I thought I would do a montage.

Decided to mount everything in circles this time and by co-ordinating with the base card stock it has made a really effective card.

As always Stampn' Up products can be bought from myself so drop me a line if you need anything allmark.j@sky.com

Happy crafting & thanks for looking.

Best Valentine ever.

What an exciting day today. Little Reuben Joel arrived into this world at 6.45am this morning weighing in at a healthy 8lb 4oz.

So a big huge hug and kisses and loads of love to my son and daughter in law.  I am the proudest granny in the world.

This will certainly be one of the greatest Valentine days ever.

Stampin' Up! Patterned Occasions

Well it is officially freezing as my central heating decided to pack up Monday night.  I have an open fire which keep the front room warm but my craft area is so cold that I have been unable to make any cards without having numb fingers. I think I will have to take a few bits infront of the fire tonight as I need to get cracking on cards for Easter and Mother's day to sell at work.

So my pretty nellie is in blues to reflect my current body colour. Hopefully it is a simple part to repair and will be fixed at the weekend.  The temperature is currently -3 but by the weekend is supposed to rise to a balmy 9 (thank goodness for open fires and lots of free logs)

I have a stampin' up! order coming today (partly customer order partly mine) so will be having fun making cards infront of the fire and playing with my new stash.  As always if you would like any stampin' up! products drop me an email allmark.j@sky.com

Happy stampin' and stay safe and warm :)))

Stampin' Up! punch art

Well so much for my day off from blogging and having some time out in the sunshine! It rained all weekend and today it is snowing again. So I set myself a challenge to do something different with the Stampin' Up! patterned occasions stamp set (this is one of the freebies for every £45 spent in the Sale-A-Bration period until 22nd March).  The stamp I chose was the denim jeans.  I have seen quite a few ideas but most of them involve the jeans being hung on a washing line.  I wanted to do something a little more original so with the help of some punches I created "Mary mary quite contrary"

I used the bird punch for the dress and the itty bitty butterfly punch for the hat.  Now if I could draw I would have put a cute face on mary but after a few attempts decided it looked better without a face.

So a fun way to create a fun person, now all I need is a watering can for mary and a sweet gardening fun sunshine card.

Hope you enjoy it and drop us a line at allmark.j@sky.com if you want to order any Stampin' Up! products.

Happy crafting :))

I used some little pearls and some ribbon to just add that finishing touch.  The sentiment sums me up too. Love is like a butterfly it goes where it pleases and pleases where it goes.

Hope your all having a fab weekend and catch up with you all next week as I'm having a well deserved Sunday off from blogging and spend some r&r time outside hopefully in the sunshine.

Valentine sparkles

Valentine Day is fast approaching and the shops are full of everything red as valentine day seems to associated with the colour red, which is for love and the heart.  Green can also be associated with the heart as the heart chakra is either green or pink so my card for today is a valentine card in green.

I used certain celery card stock and ink pad and then embossed hearts over in tinsel silver. The hearts were punched using designer series paper comfort cafe and then outlined with cherry cobbler dazzling details.

So a card with a montage of hearts in lots of different mediums and co-ordinated colours.

Hope you enjoy and thanks for looking.

Fancy increasing the stash with some Stampin' Up! products then drop me an email allmark.j@sky.com and until 22nd March there are free goodies for every £45 you spend

Nellie Nellie Pukadunk

When I was a little girl there was a song that my mother used to sing to me "Nellie the elephant packed her trunk and said goodbye to the circus, off she went with a trumpety trump, trump, trump trump". I could never remember or say the words being only small, so I would say, " mummy, mummy sing me the Nellie Nellie pukadunk song.  Although my darling mother is no longer with us every time I see an elephant I am reminded of her.  So this card is dedicated to my mum on Valentine's day as she is always in my heart.

I cut out the elephants using the same designer series paper having stamped them. Linked them so each trunk was holding a tail, took the branch from the bird punch & made each leaf co-ordinate with the elephant's print. With pearls for the elephants eyes and on the leaves it added a little shimmer. The clouds were used with the blossom punch sponged round the edges in ink with the co-ordinating colours.  The sentiment well "good times, simple pleasures" was my memories of my mother singing to me.

Hope you like it and as always happy crafting and thanks for dropping by.

Thanks a ton - Stampin' Up!

Just had an exciting delivery from Stampin' Up today, my latest order. As I ordered over £45 I was able to choose a free stamp set and this one is absolutely gorgeous.

This lovely little elephant holding a flower is so sweet and as always with Stampin' Up!products is sharp, clean and fantastic quality.  I used one of my new ink pads primrose petals.  Have kept the card simple as the elephant stands alone really well and just used the blossom punch & circle punch to create a simple flower in the corner.

Hope you like it and if you want to know how to get your hands on this stamp set or any of the Stampin' Up products then just drop me a line at allmark.j@sky.com

Thanks for looking and happy stampin :))))

Box of goodies

I am so lucky to have some really kind and generous friends.  The lovely Lynne recently gave me a big box full of stamps and a bit like a child in a sweet shop I have been playing with a few.  The stamps were unmounted so I have been a bit creative and mounted them on some pieces of laminate flooring as the spare room is being decorated and I had all this flooring left over.  They are the perfect depth and saw up easily into perfect pieces to mount the stamps on.  I have always been extremely thrifty and up cycling the old boards for my freebie stamps meant I have increased my stash and not spent a penny.

So to the first card -

These stamps have a beautiful vintage feel with I thin 1920's fashion.  I water coloured the images in purple and then mounted them on some purple card stock.  Very simple but the stamps sort of spoke for themselves & I didn't want to make it too busy.

This again is a lovely vintage fashion stamp with lots of parasols, carefully water coloured in to give a more bright and colourful feel.

Simply beautiful stamps I am so lucky and can't wait to play around with some more.

Thanks for looking :))

P is for Penguin

This is my entry for Hazel's christmas challenge.  It is great fun as each week she gives a fun themed challenge which is great to enter and see what lovely cards both she and other people have created.  If I take part once a week until christmas I will then have 40+ cards made so it won't be a mad dash to make cards in the last few weeks before crimble.  So basically it is a win. win. situation. Take a look and maybe have a go.

So the theme was something beginning with P & as Hazel had made a gorgeous penguin I thought I would add my penguin too

All products used were from Stampin' Up! and the penguin was made using the Stampin' Up! owl punch (so many other great creatures to make as well as the owl)

As an independent Stampin' Up! demonstrator you can buy any of their products through me just get in touch my email allmark.j@sky.com

Thanks for looking & dont forget to check Hazels christmas challenges out.

Lovely Leaves

There is something lovely about the changing seasons and boy in this country do we get some changeable weather.  The seasons seem to be mixing themselves up.  In the past few weeks we have had freezing weather with ice and snow, rain and gales and the odd lovely sunshiney day.

So my card for today is all about leaves.  The sort of leaves that start off beautiful and vibrant green in the Spring when the sprout from branches telling us all Spring has Sprung.  Then as the Summer comes they turn a beautiful dark shade of green and give us shade from the summer sunshine, leaning against the trunk with a book or a cool drink.  Autumn brings all the russety shades and when the leaves fall there is nothing nicer than scrunching through them kicking them up as we go.

I love all of nature and leaves show us how diverse a planet we live on and can be thankful for all our seasons.

So my card reflects my love of leaves.  Friend to friend x

Stampin' Up! is my passion and my preferred products.  Want to join me then just drop me a line & a catalogue or any of their wonderful products could be winging their way to you allmark.j@sky.com

Patchwork Card

Well it was one of my fellow crafties big 40 birthday and so I wanted to make a card using lots of different bits of all the things I like in one card, so I decided to make a patchwork card.

So there are butterflies, leaves, humming bird & pretty brads.  I cut lots of little one inch square using the fantastic Stampin' Up! trimmer as I really do not have eye for this.  I used a variety to scraps of cardstock and designer series paper (being 1inch squares it was easy as always bits over) I used a variety of stamp sets with little images and the butterflies I punched using the Stampin' Up! 1 inch circle punch and put them on using dimensionals (difficult to see in photo) Each butterfly was decorated with tiny pearls.

So a great big Happy Birthday to Lynne for yesterday (I can now put the card up as not a surprise now)

If you like any of the products I use and want to increase your stash then just get in touch by email allmark.j@sky.com I can post to anywhere in the UK.

Happy crafting peeps x

Valentine

It's February and love is in the air as we enter the month of Valentines. Being a slushy hearts and flowers person I thought I would get out my hearts today and start working on a card for my beloved.  Although I don't see as much of him as I would like, he is a very special person in my life.

Now being a guy, he is not someone that will aprecciate anything too sweet and cutesy so I have made this card quite simple.

It takes me back to my youth when I would draw a heart and put initials of the one I loved and I in a loveheart.  So even though I am all grown up I still get a little slushy once in a while.

My email is allmark.j@sky.com if you fancy getting in touch and as an independent stampin' up! demonstrator as always I would be happy to take your order or send you a catalogue.

Happy crafting :))
