How to use scraps to make a pretty butterfly card - waste not want not.

How to use up those scraps and waste nothing using tiny dies and scraps of patterned paper to create a pretty butterfly card.

See A Silhouette dsp is some gorgeous patterned paper that has a really lovely bright summery feel, perfect for this time of year.  Don't waste any pieces and use every tiny scrap to make this card.

Butterfly Beauty die set is a massive 20 die set which has every style and shape of butterfly you can imagine with some pretty flourishes thrown in for good measure.  This is one die set not to miss.  The tiny butterflies can be cut out of the tiniest scraps so you waste nothing.

The Scalloped Lace Trimadds a perfect finishing touch to this card. I used two tiny strips across both of the borders at the bottom of the card to link the cardstock and patterned paper together.

For the splatter round the edge of the card I used Beauty Abounds stamp set

So here is today's card

I have lots of poppies growing in my garden covered in butterflies and bumble bees and this was my inspiration for this card.

All of these poppies were self seeded by the birds and each year I collect the seed and then sprinkle in the garden in the Spring  and have a lovely bloom of poppies.

Card inspiration can come from so many things and nature and our gardens in one wonderful way.

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you how to make this card for yourself.

How to create seamless blended backgrounds using Stampin Up ink pads.

I love creating blended backgrounds using Stampin Up ink pads and sponges to create a seamless blend of colours and this lovely rainbow effect is simple and easy to achieve.

The colours I used were Highland Heather, So Saffron, Granny Apple Green and Pacific Point with Gorgeous Grape and Shimmer Paint for the splatters.

Buy these products at my store HERE

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you exactly how I created this background.

If you liked the finished card I used Beauty Abounds stamp set and the Birthday die from Well Written, both which you can buy from my store.

I hope you will have a go at making some of your own backgrounds for your cards.
