How to create ink layered backgrounds using Stampin Up Enjoy Life for a lovely Thank You card.
Building up layers can give lots of interest and dimension to card without giving any height. By using a variety of inks, masks and stamps you can create this fun card, ideal for thank you's after the Christmas holidays.
Feathers & Frost is a beautiful stamp set for Christmas but can be used all year round. Let me show you how, by creating a lovely garden birds card.
Garden bird are so pretty and you can colour your birds in any medium you choose. Make them finches, blue tits, robins or whatever bird you choose, let your imagination take you there.
The sentiment fromEnjoy Life makes this card really special and would suit most occasions.

Have you ever struggled creating background? They can be quite tricky and blending is a bit of an art and can take time to master. I have had many people comment about how easy I make blending a background with sponge daubers and it is sometimes difficult not to get little blobby circles and to now create a smooth blend.
Well I have a solution for you. Glycerine. The glycerine I use is for baking and is Dr Oetker, comes in a little bottle you can buy from most baking or cooking shops and most supermarkets sell it in the baking isle. It is inexpensive and a little goes a long way.

What do I love about Stampin Up products? Well whatever card you want to make there is a stamp set that is suitable. Add a bit of creativity and an idea and away you go.
ENJOY LIFE is the stamp set I chose. Now unfortunately I have a couple of friends who are going through a really tough time having recently had strokes (heart attacks) and are bravely fighting through and working hard towards fitness. The girl in the card with her hands in the air is such a powerful image and I surrounded her with butterflies and put her in a meadow of flowers.
I wanted to show their achievements so far after the stroke so put the border with a heart beat.

The sentiment Wake Up Kick Butt Repeat is again a powerful statement and suitable for anyone facing a challenge.

Using Mint Macaron and Highland Heather and a good black with some Whisper White cardstock and a matt of Mint Macaron makes a lovely subtle scene of flowers and a butterfly making this Thank You card suitable for many people.
