Special birthday celebrations.

Time passes so quickly.  When I was young the summer holidays seemed to last forever and I remember older relatives saying how quickly time passed. Now that I am older time just seems to whizz by.  My eldest granddaughter came into the world nearly 10 years ago now and it seems like yesterday that I was buying Thomas the Tank pyjamas for my youngest son who now it the proud father to this gorgeous little girl.  The single years are now gone and she is starting double figures. I wonder what life will be like when she hits my age. I will no longer be in this world. In my lifetime man landed on the moon, in 45 years time will we be inhabiting other planets?  Who knows! All I know is that life is precious and I try to live each day to the full.

So with my first of 6 grandchildren approaching the magic double figure 10 a special card was in order.

She is a blonde haired beauty who loves owls and dancing, started with ballet and now street dancing but is still a beautiful girly girl who loves pink.  This card has all the elements of her with a big fat 10 on it.

Like always if there is a special person in your life that you want a card made for then just get in touch.

Butterflies and lace

Well it is a horrid pouring down with rain kind of day, but ideal for crafting. So I pulled together some old and newer punches and stamps and picked some colour ways which I love and came up with these two cards.

The lace border punch makes a gorgeous border and for a change I put it on the diagonal to separate the card and stamped using my favourite background stamp gorgeous grunge. Pleased with the results.

All my cards are for sale so drop me a line if there is something you fancy. I can always personalise it my a special day, event, or person.

ThNks for dropping by.

Cheers birthday card

It was my eldest sons birthday yesterday so I made him a birthday card full of cheers.  He is an amazing man married with three lovely children my grandchildren and a gorgeous wife.  I went ground to give him his pressies and stopped for supper . The weather was lovely so stopped in the garden and had a bbq.  Today it has been pouring with rain and really rather chilly so it was lovely to have spent an evening outside yesterday.

I recently bought some spectrum noir aqua paints which give a really bright background.  I used the cling film technique so painted the aquatints with lots of water, added some cosmic shimmer in spray bottle and then co reed with cling film which I wrinkled. The results are stunning and give a gorgeous background to a card
This second photo gives an idea of the depth of colour and shimmer but it is very difficult with a camera to get the vibrancy and depth of colour.

Drop me a line if you want one of my cards made for you as all my designs are for sale

Summer flowers birthday card

The weather has been glorious for the last few days and the garden and allotment have been growing madly. Flowers and veggies and the bluebells have been glorious.

I had to do a birthday card for a customer so though I would make a summer flower picture

Each one of the flower centres I embellished with co-ordinating liquid pearls. The background I made using some aquatints and glycerine to give a lovely washy background.

All my cards are for sale so if there is something you like just drop me a line and I will make and personalise for you.
