Earthy green tones with gilding wax

Lots of gold embossing to build the colour palate and then little butterflies punched and embossed & then gilded with pebeo gilding wax. This gilding wax is the best I have used as it is very soft so glides onto the embossed areas easily and the effect is lovely.

The gold embossing doesn't show the vibrancy in the photo but it is really lovely.

Embossed & gilded flowers

Have been playing with different textures and colour tones using a sheena Douglass embossing folder cut out multiple times using thin copier paper. Inked in some muted tongues and then gilded using pebeo gilding wax. Mounting this on black card with a die cut in the centre and then building up with glitters. Really love this finished card.

Using pebeo gilding wax

Pebeo gilding wax is a soft smooth gilding wax which gives a luxurious sheen to any card but is especially good on an embossed card. This is a get well card for my beloved 93 year old uncle who has just undergone major surgery. Thankfully he has come through it well but still a worrying time ahead. There is nothing like putting your love & time into a special card & old pocket watches in this embossing folder seemed a perfect card.
The gilding wax doesn't show up on the photo but it looks beautiful & soft with a glorious sheen.

Birthday card

It was my youngest son's 32 birthday yesterday. It astounds me how time flies. It seems like only yesterday when he was a little boy playing with his toys in his Thomas the tank engine pyjamas and now he is a husband and a father. The circle of life continues and I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family.

So I made him a birthday card with lots of stars and some great sentiments
And yes I love him and he is the best. So proud of all my family xx

Cute punch art Christmas reindeer card

This is such a cute idea (shared from fellow crafter) tweaked to my own style with lots of Christmas glitter. Just the sort of fun card for the grandkids this Christmas. Love his happy little face

Hope you like them

Reflection technique Christmas reindeer

I certainly can't take credit for this idea but have played around with it and made my own take. I love Christmas time but and not so keen on the standard red and green and like to use more unusual combinations.  This year in all the shops there are a lot of blue tone cards and blues and teals are a firm favourite of mine. These couple of cards are sponged in tones of blues and teals with some Sakura white 3D gel pens to add dimension to the water. Really like the way this has turned out.

It is a very wet and blustery day so ideal to spend time in my craft room and play around with more Christmas cards. Keep dropping by for more ideas 💜
