Stampin Up Cookie Cutter Christmas Dog Card

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Demonstrator.

Cookie Cutter Christmas Stamp Set. is a fabulous Christmas stamp set with lots of images to create some fun cards.  Christmas for me can be classical and I love giving traditional cards, but sometimes it is nice to give and make fun cards with a comical feel.

Many of my friends including me are dog fans and I have the sweetest little girl called Luna who is a black and white cockapoo.  She is a really goofy little character and she was the inspiration behind these Christmas cards.

How to make comical dog Christmas card

  1. Clearance Rack. Christmas dsp. A square and an oval die cut using the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.
  2. Sentiment Oh What Fun from the stamp set Oh What Fun stamp set.
  3. Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set the reindeer stamped in Chocolate Chip ink an cut out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch.
  4. Stamp the father Christmas image for the hat.
  5. I coloured both of the dogs using the new Stampin Blends which are alcohol markers which launch November 1st
These are twin tipped alcohol markers which come in 12 of our Stampin Up colours.  There are two of each colour one light and one dark for seamless blending which makes 24 in total.  There are also a bronze and ivory which are great for skintones and a colour lifter for adding highlights and removing any colour.

These are going to be available 1st November so come back then and order them.  Stampin Blends are going to be the easiest and seamless way to colour so if you haven't tried colouring before with alcohol markers these are going to be a great way to start.

Making the Comical Dog Card.

  1. Stamp the reindeer image in Chocolate Chip ink
  2. Stamp the Santa in Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive ink
  3. Punch the reindeer image out and with our paper snip remove the antlers
  4. Cut the Santa hat from the stamped Santa image
  5. Using Crumb Cake light and dark and the bronze Stampin Blends colour the dog image
  6. Do the same with the Santa hat in Old Olive and Cherry Cobbler.
  7. Using dimensionals (the mini ones) are great for small images like the hat.

The fun thing about this comical dog card is the dogs ears.  By snipping off the ears and then putting them at different angles you can create different types of dogs.  I have kept one as the stamp printed and then the other one I have made a hanging pair of ears and in the first card I put the ears coming out of the top of the hat.. This gives each dog a different look.

Don't forget the inside of the card.  There is a lovely little paw image in the Foxy Friends stamp set whcih I used to add paw prints on the inside of the card with another sentiment from the Oh What Fun Christmas stamp set.

Christmas is such a fun time and there is nothing like sharing the love with this comical dog card.  Hope you^ll  have a go at making this card to put a smile on family and friends faces this Christmas.  All supplies can be bought by clicking the highlighted links or going to my SHOP button at the top of the page.

Thank you all for your custom and following this blog if you haven't already please subscribe as I post regular card and project ideas and videos to help inspire your crafting.

Ill leave you with a picture of my fun goofy little dog who inspired me to make this dog card and brings a smile to my face every day.

Stampin Up Wall Art Owl using Painted Harvest

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm and Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator in the UK.

How to create a wall art owl picture using Painted Harvest.

There are some stamp sets which are just so versatile and become a firm favourite.  The Painted Harvest. stamp set is one of these and has taken the market place by storm.  It is a lovely watercolour effect stamp set whereby you can create sunflowers and foliage in a two step format and has a coordinating punch which you can buy at the moment with a 10% discount.

One of the joys of being a Stampin Up Demonstrator is that you get to see so many projects created by other demonstrators and this is called CASEing (copy and share everything) I like to get ideas this way and then turn them into my own.  The project I am going to share with you is such a creation.  The face of the owl was CASEd from Jay Soriano a fellow demonstrator and I thought that it would be great to create a whole owl.

The Leaf Punch at just £14.50 is a must for this project as I punched out lots (I didnt't count them) to create the feathers in this project.  The leaf punch. is a great buy as it not only creates these lovely feathers but is also fabulous for creating a wreath Christmas card.

If you browse back on my blog you will see this lovely wreath Christmas card as well as lots of other card ideas using the Painted Harvest stamp set and coordinating leaf punch.  As I said it is well worth buying the Painted Harvest and leaf bunch as a bundle
and make a saving of 10%

So back to the Owl Wall Art and

How to Create Owl Wall Art using Stampin Up Painted Harvest bundle

  4. mini dimensionals, 3 on the back of each punched out leaf
  5. standard dimensionals for the eyes and the whole face to mount it up,
  6. Clear faceted gems for the centre of each of the eyes
  7. Scrap of gold glitter cardstock for the beak.

How to make an easy Eclipse Card

Eclipse cards are the latest trend in card making and words and letter cards abound all over Pintrest and other social media sites.

So I thought I would show you how to make an easy and simple Eclipse Card with any die that you have.  For this card I chose one the  of the large dies from the Vintage Leaves  set.

Tips for success with Eclipse Technique.
  1. Die cut your image out of the piece of cardstock and place it back in the cardstock to work with
  2. Use small stamps to add your images and leave some white areas.
  3. Remove your die cut once you have completed your stamped design and cut out at least one other die of the same image and glue together to give height to your finished project.
  4. You can use dimensionals as an extra height on the project or just cut another die cut and mount on project.
As you can see from this clean and simple card I stamped the trees at the bottom and added the sun at the top both slightly on and off the leaf image.  The sentiment sat nicely in the middle the leaf was cut twice in the white and then a black to add the highlight and then was put on using dimensionals.
With a little piece of twine for finishing touch it makes a lovely card.

All products can be bought from the SHOP above and there are so great offers this month so don't forget to check them out.

Love DSP then stock up with the buy 3 get one FREE

Autumn is with us.

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a Stampin Up demonstrator.

Autumn I now well and truly upon us and the nights are getting longer and it is dark a lot earlier.  Soon the clocks will go back and it will be even darker.  However this weekend we had a lovely warm spell and even though the air still smelled of Autumn it was lovely to sit in the garden and see all the lovely trees with their array of different coloured  leaves.

So todays card is inspired by all the lovely leaves.  My favourite leaves are the ones that turn brown and fall in heaps as there is nothing nicer than scuffing through the leaves with your feet and the lovely scrunching sound underfoot.

This set is Vintage Leaves and has a coordinating die set to cut out the leaves.  I chose two colours for this, Fresh Fig and then 3 of the Stampin Blends, Crumb Cake light and dark, and bronze. Now Stampin Blends are not available at the moment as they are being trialed by demonstrators, but will be alcohol twin tipped markers.  They are lovely and very easy to blend and use.

I also die cut and stamped the little leaf from Colourful Seasons in Fresh Fig and added a little piece of twine and some metallic sequins to add some interest.

If you would like to buy these sets then pop over to my SHOP above and have a browse.  There is a great offer on dsp buy 3 and get 1 free and don't forget to have a look at the Clearance Rack as there are always bargains up to70% off to be had.

Thank you for dropping by and see you again soon.
