In the UK we don't really celebrate Valentine's Day unless we are in couple where we might make a card for the other half. However 14th February, Valentine's Day, is very special for me as it is my grandson's birthday. Reuben Valentine was born on Valentine's Day and will be 7 years old. He is a wonderful little lad, full of fun and laughter and as all of my grandchildren are, is very dear to me.
So my blog hop card uses a stamp set called Special Someone and with 23 stamps for £16 I think is great value.
This is my "Love is in the Air" card. I used the Stamparatus positioning tool to get the hearts and mice in a circle on the 5" x 5" piece of cardstock. This is a two step stamp so I was able to fill in the hearts and the mice to give a little colour. Added a sentiment and some ribbon and it is a fun card with a "love" feel.
While I had this set out I made my grandson his birthday card
There is a coordinating die set with this stamp set and so was able to cut out some grass and the little string for the balloons. The sentiment was popped into a word bubble, one of the dies included in this set.

Wow, all that positioning of the images, really well done. It wonderful when we make cards for the ones so special to us. Thanks for sharing your project.
ReplyDeleteThanks Susan. Stamparatus does make it easier to line up, although not all perfect, but it was fun to do x
DeleteSuch a special card for your grandson - love it! Thanks for the inspirations from both cards.
ReplyDeleteThanks Angie. Yes my grandson will definitely be a heartbreaker, as he is absolutely gorgeous and a real cheeky chappie x
DeleteI really like the idea of using the hearts with the Stamparatus. Great cards.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Yes the Stamparatus is such a great tool x
DeleteBeautiful cards. No one will ever forget your grandsons birthday.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yes Valentines Day has a whole new meaning to us all x
DeleteSuch a lovely card Jane - that mouse is super cute and such great positioning. It's a shame we don't send valentines more widely as it was great fun in the US to send to not just sweethearts. Thanks for being part of the hop again. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Fiona. I must admit I do like this little mouse, but to stamp so many the Stamparatus did help x
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card
ReplyDeleteSuch a cute card and your one for your grand son is also really cute :-)
ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are so fun, Jane! I was just talking to a friend yesterday about that technique of stamping in a circle and after seeing your adorable card, I'm inspired to try it. Happy birthday to your grandson, too. I'm sure he is going to love his card!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card designs. So cute and creative.
