Stampin Up Rose Garden thinlets

Morning everyone and a lovely sunny morning it is. Love the lighter days as rise early with sunshine and not dark now till nearly 8pm. So with Spring really on its way and Summer just round the corner the roses will soon be out for such a short time, but the smell is always lovely.

My recommendation for today is the rose garden thinlets by Stampin Up. See the link above to order and use me Jane Allmark as your demonstrator of choice.
140619 priced £28 for 5 dies
As you can see they are big and versatile as you can cut into them to give colour variation.
First example cut the die out in black and colour in to give a stained glass effect.
Come back tomorrow for other examples and ideas to use the fab die set.

Stampin Up Happy Days

Happy days and it is a really happy day. Have some fantastic news I'm adopting a gorgeous little spaniel cross girl on Friday this week. It has been a long year since I lost my beloved Labrador from old age and it has taken me a long time to find a special companion. So very excited and today's card is a lovely scene builder set.
It takes three element stamps the bench, the child & kite and tree, put together to make the scene. Simply sponged with daubers for a muted look.

All Stampin up products are avilabkenthrough the link above. Use me Jane Allmark as your demonstrator of choice.

Stampin Up Creating your own backgrounds.

Morning everyone. What a lovely weekend it is proving to be. Weather has been really spring like with sunshine and the lighter evenings are really fab.

Today I thought I'd talk about backgrounds. Creating a background is fun, easy and totally unique. It is a great way to colour coordinate or to just add a different dimension or texture to a card.

I have recently bought some burlap ribbon. It's a huge one and a quarter inches wide catalogue number 132140 is 4.6m long so if perfect as a border or wide trim on a card. As I'm not too much of a ribbon person as is a little twee for me this burlap is right up my street.
The background I used crumb cake probably the best neutral colour as goes with everything. Primrose petals added the colour accent to tone with the balloon. Pearls and candy dots added the final touch.

Simple, pretty with loads of texture a really fun card to do.
