Stampin Up are launching NEW dies in the annual catalogue launching June 2019. What are they like? and how do they compare to the old dies?
Whenever there is change we all feel a little worried and concerned and with the launch of the new dies there are many questions. With this review and comparison I will alleviate those worries and reassure you that Stampin Up has come up with some excellent new dies, that work like a dream and will add to your crafting experience, as all their dies before have.
The Case -
Clear case making it easier to see details inside
Easy closure with a tongue and slot, stores seamlessly with other dies without bulking.
Name of the die in small letter on the left had side of case ( write or print you own label and put on front of case if this is too small)
Sheet dies adhered to -
The adhesive is not as sticky as it was so makes for easy removal of dies when you first get them.
The Dies -
As always the quality of the dies are fantastic. I did a comparison of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies and the Rectangle Stitched Dies and there was no difference in the quality, thickness and size of the dies. Both worked for me with just one pass of my die cutting machine the Big Shot.
As we all know all die cutting machines are different and with age you can have "sweet spots" and differences in pressure as your machine wears and beds in. If you need a shim use one, a sheet of copy paper folded in two is sometimes all you need.
The dies in my opinion are excellent as I would expect from Stampin Up and having now bought and used them I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to you all. Stampin Up have always been leaders in the innovation and when they bring something new to us, we know we have the backing and support of a quality brand.
