Stampin' Up! Pretty pegs

Oh what fun I have been having today in preparation for an up and coming craft fayre I am attending in 2 weeks time.  Have been having such fun with pegs.  Pegs are so useful and are great to clip all sorts of things together, clip a card to a present, put on a gift, put on a plant pot or bunch of flowers, stick on the fridge to clip things too, in fact there are so many uses for pegs that I thought I would decorate some.

These have been covered using some designer series paper then a little circular attachment has been added for interest using a variety of stampin' up! stamp sets & inks and then punching out using a circular punch.

Tomorrow I will show you another way of decorating pegs.

Stampin' Up! Simply Sketched

This stamp set is called simply sketched and contains six stamps, a bird, flower, the above and three sentiments, birthday, sympathy and thanks.  It is a hostess set which means that you can get it free with hostess points earned by having a stampin' up! party.  Check out my tab at the top of my blog for details about hosting a party, workshops and ordering.

I water coloured the sprigs using the blender pens, which has made a pretty simple Yule card.

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree

This is a pretty autumnal birthday card using the lovely as a tree stamp set overprinted on vintage wheel stamp.  I made a window using a framelit cut with the big shot.  A simple card but with that feel of autumn as all the leaves here are starting to fall and there is a nip in the air.

All the products used are from stampin' up! and as a demonstrator is you would like to order anything just get in touch allmark.j@sky.com

Hope your having a great weekend :))

Charity shop find

I was browsing round my local charity shop recently and found a couple of pretty fairy stamps which have produced some really lovely cards.

I buy all my clothes from charity shops and really enjoy upcycling and helping do my bit for local charities.  The cost element is huge too as most items I buy are a few pounds rather than £50-£100 if I bought the equivilent new in the shops.  I can change my fashion often and when I have finished wearing them I return them back to the charity shop so someone else can do the same.

I buy all my stamping and cardmaking products from stampin' up! as there quality is second to none but a cheap charity find was fun for a couple of fairy cards.

I use stampin' up! blender pens to pick up colour from my ink pads for the watercolouring which allows really delicate subtle effects.  The blender pens come in packs of 3 double tipped and last for absolutely ages.  I am still on my first pen with  no sign of it drying out.  The pens are £8.95 for a pack of three and are the best way to watercolour an image I have found.

To give stampin' up! products a try with their amazing inkpads, co-ordinating cardstock and huge range of stamps then just drop me a line allmark.j@sky.com

Stampin' Up! oval framelits

The oval framelits are great for making frames on cards as they are all stackable so you can ensure you get the right proportions.  This card was made with the retired deer stamp (there are some new deer images in the new catalogue which would work equally well)stamped in white to give a pretty silhouette.  To give the wrought iron portal effect I punched little circles using the owl punch.

A combination of yellow and black was something I havn't used before but the effect I ws really pleased with.

Stampin' up! products are so versatile and creative as your mind will allow which I really love.  Drop me a line allmark.j@sky.com if you would like to learn more or purchase any of stampin' up! great products.

Stampin' Up! Lovely as a Tree

This is probaly my favourite stamp set.  It is one of stampin' up!'s longest standing sets and is just gorgeous.  I have used one of the stamps to create this Yule card.  I made a mask using the oval framelits and then sponged in two shades of blue, masking out a circle for the moon.  I then embossed over the tree with some sparkly to give a shimmer (doesn't really show in the photo).

As stampin' up! only have traditional seasonal sentiments I printed out some Yule words on the laptop and then used the word window punch and mounted using a couple of dimensionals.

The effect is lovely and makes a great seasonal card.

Stampin' Up! Ornament Keepsakes

It's only the beginning of Autumn but I am getting ready for a craft fayre so have started making some seasonal cards.  This is using stampin' up! ornament keepsakes which is still available until Jan 2014 and is a really versatile set.  Can make some amazing ornaments and 3d effects which I will be showcasing at a later date.

I used coastal cabana for the cardstock and some of the ornaments teamed with sahara sand and the sentiment is from Greetings of the Season in strawberry slush.  I really like making seasonal cards in alternative colours to the traditional greens and reds and really like how this card has turned out.

If you would like to purchase any stampin' up! products or order a catalogue then please drop me a line allmark.j@sky.com and I'd be happy to help.

Have a great day :)

Moon gazing hare stained glass window

After a lot of hard graft and constructive building I have a new hallway.  We upcycled the front and back door wich were given to us over a period of a couple of years and sat in the garden waiting for the build.  The framework was constructed, brickwork put in and then the fun began again making two stained glass windows.  There is still a bit to do, like grouting the floor tiles, plastering below the windows, and putting a radiator in for the winter, but it is a glorious space filled with sunshine rays from the window.

The moon gazing hare was the most beautiful piece and am so pleased how it turned out and just looks amazing greeting me whenever i come to my new front door.

Tomorrow I will be back to showcasing some of the stampin' up! cards that I have been making so drop by and take a look.

I'm Back

Well it has been a little while since I last posted, but I have been really busy and I'm afraid my blog has taken a back seat.  So I am now back and will give you all a bit of a catch up of what I have been up to.

The festival season ended with us crewing at my favourite festival Weyfest.  This is a local festival to me in Tilford Rural Life Centre and the weather was glorious which made it the biggest and most successful festival yet.

This is rustybus our 1959 split screen bus and the retro awning which makes our camping and festival experiences so much fun.  There is nothing like spending time outdoors in the sunshine or whatever the weather throws at us, cooking our food on an open fire and enjoying our beautiful countrside.

Tomorrow I will tell you all about the hallway extension with two glorious stained glass panels.

See you all tomorrow :)
