As you all know I love creating backgrounds and the Rose Garden Thinlets Dies cut as a mask create a beautiful background. I used three colours Rose Red, Calypso Corsal and Rich Razzleberry and the sponge daubers to ink through the mask.
I post regular videos so please look at subscribing to my channel so you can see the techniques and ideas I have to share with you all.
All products are available to but through my shop button above.

Foxy Friends is such a great stamp set with a coordinating punch and is one of my favourites. I made this lovely card with the embossing folder Woodland Texture sponged with Emerald Envy as a background and then put the fox and tree stump with a few little toadstools on dimensionals.
All the products shown are available to purchase through the shop button above.
This video tutorial will show you how to use a die cut to create a mask to make a stand alone background which just needs a sentiment to create a lovely card.

I here quite often how difficult it is to do masculine themed cards or gender neutral for people who don't like pretty pretty cards with flowers and ribbons etc. In This World stamp set has some lovely stamps which lend themselves to this type of card.
I used three pieces of whisper white cardstock, stamped the sentiment in the smallest layer then laid them together so I could stamp. Using dapper denim and crushed curry I used the graphic stamp to create the background, then mounted on dimensionals to create height. I then stamped three keys from this set and fussy cut and coloured in crushed curry, you will need a craft knife to cut the centre of the key. Then using some hessian/burlap ribbon split to give individual threads I threaded each key and mounted with dimensional pieces round the card.
The effect is simple and non fussy yet stunning and ideal for masculine cards.
All products are available through the shop button above. So please look at getting this great set In This World as there are lots of possibilities.
When you purchase a stamp set and die combination it is always good when you can use this set in many ways. Number of Years is a great set for specific birthday and anniversaries as the numbers have a beautiful font and with the coordinating dies make it really easy and professional.
However the flowers and other stamps make a great background
So I stamped the images in Rose Red, Calypso Coral and Rich Razzleberry and the dots in Archival Black ink pads and then cut them in three pieces and mounted on a piece of Rose Red cardstock.
Now to the dragonfly die cut from the Dragonfly Dreams bundle and embossed in gold and white to give depth and dimension.

Sometimes it's nice to get some pastel colours out and this Easter card is using pool party and Sweet sugarplum with some smoky slate for a pretty subtle look.
Combining Vintage Leaves and Papillon Potpourri building some layers and giving some texture with a sentiment from Teeny Tiny Sentiments, which really has a sentiment for every occasion.
All products are available through the shop button above.
Spring has really sprung and everywhere it is starting to become green. The leaves on the trees are beautiful wild wasabi green and the blossom has started appearing on the cherry trees in the garden and the apples and pears.
I love Spring as Summer is just around the corner. The days are longer and lighter and the sun is starting to warm the earth.
So today's card is a celebration of Spring with Vintage Leaves and Leaflets Framelits Dies to create a mask.
I sponged the mask with wild wasabi and emerald envy and then die cut the Love from the Sunshine Wishes Framelits dies in wild wasabi.

Sometimes it is great to bring an old tried and tested technique back and use it again. Today's card uses low tack masking tape, or you could use parcel tape, or regular masking tape.
Cut three pieces of tape a few inches wider than the cardstock you are going to use. Ink Up the sticky side of the tape well by tapping on ink pad till tape is well covered. I used In Colours flirt flamingo, peekaboo peach and sweet sugar plum. Stick the tape to the cardstock butting each piece up tightly to the next. The ink will stop the tape sticking securely allowing you to smooth it transferring the ink to the card in a strip.
I then removed the masking tape and used it agin on another piece of cardstock to give a slightly lighter colour. The effect is a lovely striped background with a textured feel.
The first card with the brighter feel I used Vintage Leaves and the second Dragonfly Dreams dragonflies. Really love this effect.
