Quick and Easy Origami Christmas tree using Stampin Up Dashing Along dsp

Todays project is a very simple and easy one using up scraps of dsp, I chose Dashing Along dsp as it has some lovely green patterns which work well for a Christmas Tree.

What you will need is -
5 pieces of dsp measuring
3" x 3"
2 1/2" x 2 1/2"
2" x 2"
1 1/2" x 1 1/2"
1" x 1"
Some scraps of Joyous Noel Glimmer Paper for the trunk, star and baubles.

To see how to make this easy origami fold I have made a step by step video tutorial.

This is a great project to make with the family as youngsters will enjoy making these easy folds and decorating the tree, as well as for us adults who are looking for a quick and easy project to use up scraps and make a pretty dimensional tree.

How to create a silver & gold embossed Christmas card using Stampin Up Waterfront.

This card gives a beautiful elegant feel by using silver and gold embossing powder and the very versatile stamp set Waterfront.

By just using gold embossing for the trees and silver for the snow drifts and snow, then mounting on a piece of our gold foil the results are really stunning.

The centre panel measures 4 1/2" x 2 1/2" and the gold foil layer is a 1/4" wider.

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you exactly how to make this card.

New Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag from Stampin Up

For everyone who bought the Stamparatus there is now a new Craft and Carry Stamparatus Bag which is released for general sale on the 5th December 2018 (just in time for Christmas)

As a demonstrator I was able to order mine early and it arrived today. I have made a review, unwrapping and stage by stage look at this new bag in a video before so you can see exactly how good this bag is before you decide to buy.

The first thing that struck me was what a lovely heavyweight cotton canvas the bag was made from.Try clicking on the picture and blowing it up a little to see just what a lovely material this bag is made from.  The Stampin Up Logo is heavy material and covered in a clear peel off film so it doesn't scratch

There are two pockets on the left hand side in a silky fabric, so nothing will get scratched and on the right hand side the elastic closure pocket is foam padded.

Watch the video to see all these little details and more.  A wanted to give you as much information as I could about this Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag as having just got it I was very impressed. Pictures never really do a product justice, but I hope that after you have seen the video you will want to get your hands on this great accessory.  It is available from the 5th December so would make an ideal Christmas present for yourself or anyone that has bought the Stamparatus.

Click on the link HERE to buy the Stamparatus and all the accessories and don't forget from the 5th December you will be able to add Craft & Carry Stamparatus Bag too.

Don't want to wait until the 5th December then become a Stampin Up Demonstrator and join my team and add the Craft & Carry Stamparatus as part of your starter kit. Join now HERE

As many of you know I have been doing step by step YouTube video tutorials for quite a while now and have 125 different techniques and card making ideas for you to follow and use in your stamping experience.

YouTube has recently launched Premiere, where my video will be launched at a specific time (Tues 20th November 2018 at 3.30pm GMT) and I get a chance to watch it live with you guys and we can have a chat at the same time. How exciting is this?

As I have 1.1k of you lovely subscribers on Youtube, it would be lovely if some of you were available to watch this premiere with me.  So make a little note in your diary and join me for my first premiere.

This step by step video will show a lovely technique using our inks and Shimmer Paint with embossing folders to create a background or stand alone piece, which has a real wow.

These are the two pieces we will be creating and I will show you how to get the Shimmer Paint into all of the little branches without it touching the background. The leaf embossing folder we will be using 3 different Shimmer Paints for added impact.

So I look forward to seeing some of you for the live premiere on Tuesday.  If you can't make it then don't worry as the video will be posted as normal after the premiere for you all to watch.

Thank you all for your support and encouragement.  My passion is stamping and crafting and I love sharing it with all of you. Have a good day and happy stamping.

How to create a beautiful flower card #simplestamping then step it up & add dimension.

As a Stampin Up Demonstrator you are given so many tools to help customers and fellow demonstrators, so I thought I would share with you some recent research Stampin Up conducted from around the world, asking customers and demonstrators what type of crafter they were.

As stampers and crafters most of us fit into 3 different categories or float somewhere between them all.
  1. New Crafters - people who are new to crafting and stamping, have limited or no supplies and are keen to learn, but not be overwhelmed with complicated techniques using high budget tools like the Big Shot, which they don't want to invest in immediately to be able to craft.
  2.  The Casual Crafter - people who craft once a month or less, make cards and projects for specific occasions like a birthday or anniversary and enjoy step by step easy to follow ideas to make these projects.
  3. The Avid Crafter - crafting is their passion and they spend every spare moment doing it. They are avid  collectors, want  to have it all, craft daily or weekly and like to use every technique and tool available. Have plenty of ideas themselves but enjoy hunting out the latest technique, style and tools to add to their collection.
So I sit somewhere between the Casual and Avid crafter.  My passion is crafting and I turn to it most every day.  It is my "me" time where I can lose myself for an hour or two with my paper, ink and stamps and create something beautiful.  I would love it all, if my budget would allow, and do enjoy trying new ideas and techniques.

Where do you fit? I would love to know all your thoughts,so do leave me a comment and let me know.

So with this in mind I thought I would try and show you some projects which would fit into several of these categories. This card takes a single layer card using minimal supplies, a stamp set Floral Frames, two ink pads Mossy Meadow & Flirty Flamingo, one E block and an Aquapainter. Yes you will need some cardstock and I used Whisper White and should you chose to add a matt of Mint Macaron.

The stepped up version of this card uses some scissors (I used our Paper Snips as they have lovely sharp points) to cut out some of the images to add some dimension and then added a few Metallic Pearls to the centre of each flower.

So if you ant to have a go at making this card just follow my step by step video tutorial and make either the simple one layer card or step it up and do some cutting out and add some texture and dimension.

To buy any of the products mentioned have a browse at my shop HERE. To all my customers I appreciate each and every one of you and it is lovely that you are enjoying all the wonderful products that Stampin Up has to offer.

Stampin Up Peaceful Noel #simplestamping

Stamping doesn't need to be complicated or take a lot of supplies.  Sometimes keeping it simple can achieve so beautiful results. #simplestamping is making everyone aware that simple stamping can be just as fun as using every technique in the book.

This card uses just two inkpads Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide and just one stamp set Peaceful Noel. The ribbon is an added extra from Jar of Love but could easily be replaced by using any little ribbon you may have.

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you just how easy it is to make this card.

With Christmas just around the corner on December 5th  Stampin Up launches their Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-a-bration brochure for demonstrators to order a full month before customers can. Using Shimmer Paint two ways for Christms with Stampin Up Varied Vases & Peaceful Noel

At Stampin Up Convention this year celebrating their 30th anniversary, there were a lot of demonstrations aimed at #simplestamping.   As crafters once we have been crafting for a while it is easy to create projects that are aimed at the avid crafter and those with many techniques under their belt.  So taking things back to simple stamping can be very rewarding and shows how everyone, even the newest stamper can create beautiful cards and projects using minimal supplies and techniques.

This card show one layer stamping, using two colours Merry Merlot and Tranquil Tide and two stamp sets Varied Vases and Peaceful Noel.  Step this one layer card up with some Shimmer Paint, I chose the copper, and two simple and different techniques to use the Shimmer Paint quickly and easily.

To show you how to create this card, I have added a step by step video tutorial which will show you from start to finish how to make this card and use the two different ways to add some copper shimmer to the vases and fir sprigs.

Good sized treat holder for several sweet treats using Stampin Up products

I had my 5 year old grandson round for the weekend and he wanted to make some teacher and friend gifts, so I thought about making a treat holder that was roomy enough to hold a couple of different sweets.

Now being 5 years old he wanted to make a grinch topper which I did for his friends after much researching and fiddling around.  However for his teachers I thought that Green & Blacks chocholate bars and a little candy cane would probably be more appropriate.

The good thing about the size of this treat holder is that it will hold a couple of treats easily so whatever your choice as long as it is not too big will probably fit.

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you how I made these and you can make 4 from a 12" x 12" piece of dsp with enough over for a couple of cards, so pretty economical.

Jane Allmark UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator - Join My Team

I was recently asked about joining Stampin Up and becoming a demonstrator and joining my team and realised that is something I don't really promote or talk about.  At Christmas time people are quite often given money or are looking for ideas for gifts and this lady wanted money from family to join Stampin Up.  At the top of this blog there is a page labelled "join" which gives more information, but here's a little more about joining at this time of year.

With Christmas fast approaching I thought I would just let you know about a great Christmas present to give to yourself. Join Stampin Up as a Demonstrator and get a discount on the products you buy and take advantage of Sale-a-bration a month early and get free product.

A lot of Stampin Up Demonstrators like myself joined Stampin Up to get a discount on the stamp sets, dies, papers and other products and I have one have never looked back.

At the moment it is a very exciting time with Stampin Up.  This is their 30th anniversary and many demonstrators are currently at Convention, a big meet up and gathering of demonstrators across the world where they will get a look at the new Spring/Summer catalogue and Sale-a-bration products.

As a demonstrator we get to pre-order from 5th December which is a month earlier than customers can buy. For every £45 we spend from any of the current catalogues and preorder products, we can also order a free Sale-a-bration product (this could be a stamp set, die set, patterned paper, embellishments or other surprises which will be available in the Sale-a-bration brochure).

So if you've been thinking about becoming a demonstrator now really is a great time to join.  Want to know more then just go to the "Join" page at the top of this blog.

If you already know all this information and just want to join now then just click HERE and put in my name Jane Allmark to join my team.

I would just like to say a big thank you to all my customers, subscribers, supporters and friends and if becoming a demonstrator is not for you, then apologies for this post. How to change cheap wooden embellishments into Dazzling Diamonds

Just popping on for a quick tip and idea to change cheap wooden embellishments into sparkling Dazzling Diamonds.

For everyone in the UK (and probably have something similar internationally) in the poundstore in the wedding section they have wooden heart confetti, 50 for a £1.  Now these have Mr & Mrs on one side but turn them over, paint them, add some Crystal Effects and some Dazzling Diamonds glitter and turn them into something special.

Heres a quick video to show you how.

Have fun and enjoy.

Dog Lovers Whimsical Christmas Card using Stampin Up Cookie=Cutter Christmas

As many of you know I own an adorable little cockapoo who often makes herself known in my videos.  At Christmas time I have many dog lover friends who I like to send funny whimsical cards and these cute little dogs are exactly that.

I also was taking part in a card challenge on the fantastic facebook group Joy of Sets and the colours to use were Merry Merlot, Smoky Slate and Crushed Curry, which I think are a great combination.  So my little dogs are coloured in Smoky Slate and their hats are the Crushed Curry and Merry Merlot.
