Fable Friends and Daisy Delight #simplestamping Spring card

FABLE FRIENDS STAMP SET and DAISY DELIGHT STAMP SET  are a great combination for a #simplestamping Spring card.

The Daisy was stamped twice to give a full flower and the little squirrel from Fable Friends was coloured using inks and the Aqua Painter. Both the flowers were coloured in the same tones to tie this simple card together.

This card uses only a few supplies, the two stamp sets a couple of ink pads and the Aqua Painter making it a perfect project for the beginner stamper or those who are just starting out with minimal supplies.

Give it a go and have fun.

Here is a step by step video tutorial

Box of Cards using Stampin Up Fable Friends.

So who likes Beatrix Potter? She was an English Author, illustrator, natural scientist and conservationist born in 1866 in Kensington in London. As a child I was lucky enough to be given a couple of her books, The Tale of the Flopsy Bunnies (Flopsy's brother was Peter Rabbit) and The Tale of Benjamin Bunny (Peter Rabbit's cousin).

These books were part of my childhood and I can remember my mother reading them to me, tucked up in bed as a night time story.

So when Stampin Up brought out FABLE FRIENDS I was delighted that the images closely resembled those lovely characters with Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddleduck and Squirrel Nutkin.

I wanted to make a box of 6 cards with 2 of each of these three characters.

The box is a very simple construction, just a box with a lid.  The sizes are

Lid
8 1/4" square piece of cardstock scored at 1" and 2" on all sides

Base
8 1/8" square piece of cardstock scored at 1" and 2" on all sides.

Cards
8" x 4" cardstock base scored at 4" to give you the 4" square card
matt of dsp (patterned paper) 3 3/4" square so a quarter of an inch smaller.
A circle cut from the STITCHED SHAPES DIES using the largest circle.

The dsp (patterned paper) is NEUTRALS 6" x 6"

The Fable Friend images were just fussy cut with a good pair of sharp scissors.

Here is  step by step video tutorial so you can have a go at making these cards and the box.  Don't forget this is just an ideas you can make these cards and box using whatever stamps and papers you may have.

Joy of Sets #JOSTTT004 April 2019 - Jane Allmark AMETHYSTARCRAFTING

Hello and welcome to April Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe challenge. This months grid was chosen by Nicky Leighton

The Grid this month has a wedding focus and the line I chose was Wedding, Glitter, Die Cut although I did add some silver embossing for the sentiment, white and floral.

This is the grid for you to have a go and enter the challenge.  The winner gets a winners badge and gets to design a card for the following month alongside myself and the other Design Team.

So the card I designed was for a customer who wanted me to make a wedding card for her.

I chose the PETAL PROMENADE DESIGNER SERIES PAPER which has the most beautiful florals and some pretty flowered frames idea for a wedding card. I matted each piece on white.

The pretty hearts were die cut in silver using SUNSHINE WISHES THINLITS DIES and then the sentiments were die cut in white and then I used the wink of stella to give the glittery shimmer.

The Bride and Groom sentiments were die cut from the WELL WRITTEN FRAMELITS DIES. These are such lovely dies with a large selection of sentiments for many occasions.

So why don't you have a go and enter your own designed card this month.  Just click    HERE        to join in.

Stampin Up Happy Tails stamp set and punch bundle

Ive really been enjoying using my DIY wreath builder template with the small grid paper for the STAMPARATUS positioning tool and this time I have made a cut waggy dog card with all their tails interlocking into a lovely circular pattern. Buy the small grid paper for £6 for 50 sheets HERE

This technique of using die cuts I saw from Jennifer McGuire a fellow crafter and I used her technique with the punch from Happy Tails.

The dogs I simply coloured with a wash using the AQUA PAINTER and Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate ink pads.  I then punched them out and then used a punched negative as my guide to place each one of the punched dogs to create the circular pattern.

I love the way the tails interlock and the heads poke out.  With a few little paw prints this card would be great for all of us dog lovers out there. Buy the Happy Tails Bundle HERE

Here is a step by step video tutorial to show you how to make this card.
