Stampin' Up! Basket with Lid Using Old Stampin' Up! Catalogue

Well I have been burning the midnight oil now for almost a week creating this project.  I wanted a basket with lid in my toilet to put spare toilet rolls in and had not seen anything that I liked so decied I would make one.

An old stampin' up! catalogue cut into 3" strips and rolled using a wooden scewer produced several hundred paper rolls.  These were then tightly rolled using tombow glue, a glue gun and pva glue to make this basket.  I then used coastal cabanna and whisper white ink to give the distressed look and voila.

This project is definately not for the feint-hearted as it was a real labour of love and was very tie consuming and fiddly ensuring all the rolls were tight but the result I am really pleased with.

It goes to prove that nothing goes to waster and even an old catalogue can be recycled into something useful.

Stampin' Up! Fabulous Florets

Smoky slate and strawberry slush inkpads are real favourites with me as they blend together so well.  Have had quite a lot of requests for thank you cards so this was one.  I like matting cards on black as they really make the card stand out nicely.

Stampin' Up! Birthday card

It was a bit of a challenge to make a personalised birthday card with the name Charlotte on as there are so many letters, however I thought of using the little banner punch which fitted the letters perfectly and stamped the background in co-ordinating colours.  This was for a teenage girl so thought \i would make it in some funky colours with a modern twist.  She loved it and another happy customer.      http://amethystarcrafting.blogspot.co.uk/ direct link for stampin' up! ordering online or drop me a line allmark.j@sky.com

Stampin' Up! Simple Easter Card

I used the stamp set Love and Sympathy as I really like the simplicity of the flower.  It lends itself really well to collour in the blender pens so the flower blossom is a different colour to the stem.

I tied in the background dsp with the flower and a simple stamp underneath the sentiment.  Simple yet very effective.

Stampin' Up! Love you to the moon

This is just such a lovely stamp as the saying "love you to the moon and back" is something I say often to all the loved ones in my life.

Again I made my own dsp for the background as blended the pool party and smoky slate on a layered technique to give some depth to the card.  This has proved to be a very popular card and I have made lots for all ages.

Stampin' Up! Butterfly card

I really like the pappillion potpourri stamp set and the two matching punches as they are so versatile and go with all of the scrummy stampin' up! inkpads.

I love making my own dsp as a background as you can combine the exact colours.  The effect of this card with the new smoky slate really makes this a subtle yet very striking card.

Stampin' Up! Steampunk themed card

I really like the steampunk style of card with the cogs and Victoriana with a distressed torn look.  So with that in mind and without having any of the cog or clock stamps I decided to have a go with what I had.

I took the cogs from the starburst die and the top hat is cool but the goggles need some work on as I think they are a little big.  The overall effect I like and the feathers done with some vellum look really cool.  So until I get some cog/clock stamp set this is a good effect.

Stampin' Up! Steampunk theme

Well have had a really busy week with a craft fayre last weekend so havn't had a chance to get on my blog for a week.  So tomake up for it here is a steampunk themed card.  Can't wait to get the cogs & clock stamp and the gorgeous grunge but until then this is my attempt.

Lots of embossing to give the gilded edge, and using the starburst die to simulate the cogs. This is a telescope card as it swivels out and is three cards in one.http://www.stampinup.net/esuite/home/amethystarcrafting/ is my link to order stampin' up! products. or just drop me a line allmark.j@sky.com

Stampin' Up! Days of the Week Wall Chart

This is another great idea from Pootles and is great to plan the week ahead putting little notes in the pockets as reminders

Each day of the week can be decorated with whatever takes your fancy and I have mine hanging in the kitchen for all those little notes and reminders for the week ahead.  There is even a spare pocket for anything I might have forgotten (am using it for receipts that I need to keep.

Stampin' Up! Easter bunny treat

Fun little Sunday project to house a little treat for the little ones at Easter.

Two circles, two hearts inverted, a couple of circles for eyed and a little heart for a nose together with a couple of ears from the blossom builder punch and this cute little bunny is complete.  Put a little treat in the middle stuck down with a little snail and he is ready to hop his way into a little one's heart or tummy.

Stampin' Up! Special Anniversary Card

It was my son and daughter in law's anniversary yesterday, 10 years since the started going out, my how ttime goes by.  They are happily married with 3 beautiful children now and I couldn't be happier for them.  So I was asked by my son to make a special card.

I used the Love Ya To The Moon stamp set for some of this card as it really fitted and smoky slate inkpad again as it adds a lovely subtle colour instead of black.  Lots of sparke and twinkle wit some dazzling diamonds and it was complete.
