Stampin Up Brusho and Daisy Delight Embossing

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My nme is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.

BRUSHO. crystals are little pots of crystal pigment ink which if you sprinkle on cardstock or watercolour paper and spritz with water burst into fabulous colours.

In this background piece I used DAISY DELIGHT stamp set and embossed the image randomly in gold, silver and black embossing powder.

How to Use Brusho Two Ways

  • First use Brusho as watercolour paint.  Shake a few crystals on a block and add a little water with an AQUA PAINTER. and then paint with the aqua painter.  I did this for the centres of the daisies.
  • Sprinkle Brusho onto your cardstock or watercolour paper and spritz to get a lovely mottled burst image.  I did this on the background using Prussian Blue, Brilliant Red, Yellow and Gamboge.
By embossing your image first it gives a lovely textured detail to your project and if water colouring alone allows the water to stay inside the embossed areas.

Here is a close up of the project.   Although the black embossing stands out clearer in the photograph the gold and silver are beautiful too as they shimmer which does not show up on the photo.

Give it a try and have fun with Brusho.  All products are available through my shop  just click HERE. or on any of the highlighted links or through the SHOP button at the top of the page.

Stampin Up Waterfront with Brusho background

Hello and welcome to Amehystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.

WATERFRONT STAMP SET. is a great set to give a water colour mountains, rivers and trees without having to be a water colour artist.  This set is a steal at £15 and is becoming one of the fastest selling stamp sets in the Spring/Summer catalogue.

How to create a water landscape using Stampin Up Waterfront

  1. Take a sheet of watercolour paper and cut to size. For this card I used 5.25" x 3.5"
  2. Tape the watercolour paper to a firm board using washi tape or low tack masking tape. This will stop the watercolour paper warping and bending too much as this technique using a lot of water.
  3. With the Brusho crystals and the Moss Green and Yellow sprinkle some of the crystals onto the watercolour paper.
  4. Using the Spritzer start spraying the paper and watch as the crystals burst into colour.  Keep spritzing spraying in different directions to move the colour around.
  5. Use some kitchen roll to dab the excess water from the taped edge.
  6. Repeat the process again until you get the effect you want.
  7. This process wants the image to have a washed watery water colour look so the more water you spray the lighter the colours will be.
  8. Leave the image taped to the board until it is completely dry.  This will take a little while or just put it on one side overnight.
  9. When completely dry remove the tape carefully. Trim if needed or leave the white border whichever is your preference.
  10. Using the Waterfront Stamp Set stamp the mountains in Wild Wasabi, Night of Navy and Marina Mist and the trees in Wild Wasabi.  Choose the ink pads which match your Brusho background.  The colours I chose matched mine.
  11. Mount on a coordinating cardstock and add a sentiment if you choose.  I left this card blank as I wanted the image to stand alone.
If you buy the products to produce this card then you will qualify for a FREE product from the SALE-A-BRATION. brochure.

From today the 16th February until the end of March there is a second release of Sale-A-Bration products.

Stampin Up Magical Day Crashing Waves Horses

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.

MAGICAL DAY BUNDLE. is probably my favourite stamp set and die collection of all time. There is so much you can do with this set.

When you go to the beach on a stormy day and watch the waves crashing they always remind of some of the amazing paintings depicting horses as waves crashing on the shore.

As soon as I saw the Unicorn stamp I knew there was so much more you could do with this stamp and by removing the horn from the unicorn it becomes a horse.

For the waves I used the clouds die from the SUNSHINE & RAINBOWS BUNDLE. by using the negative piece from the clouds to form the waves.

The sentiment was from the HIGH TIDE STAMP SET. as it fitted this card perfectly.

So this stamp set and coordinating framelits dies is not just for children and fantasy cards it can also be for adults too,

Here are some other ideas using the unicorn as a horse.

A fun valentine card with You are my Knight using the Labeler Alphabet stamp set perfect for any words or phrases on a card.

There is still another 6 weeks of Sale-A-Bration where for every order of £45 or more you can choose a FREE product from the Sale-A-Bration catalogue.

Stampin Up Magical Day Daenerys and her Drogon

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.

MAGICAL DAY BUNDLE. is my absolute favourite set as I just love all the myths and magic you can create with so many different characters.

How to make the mermaid into a damsel or a Daenerys Game of Thrones character.

  • Take the mermaid and stamp is memento black ink.
  • Take the knight stamp and do the same.
  • Carefully trim the tail of the mermaid removing only the fin.
  • Carefully trim the knight removing his head, arm and shield, leaving his full body.
  • Glue the knights body onto the trimmed mermaid.
  • Where the shield has left a curve, trim on opposite side giving a curve.
  • Trim the rest of the mermaids tail to complete a standing damsel.
I have coloured the characters using our STAMPIN BLENDS.

Game of Thrones is probably the biggest fantasy series on tv and so this card is my tribute and to show that this fabulous Magical Day bundle can be used for more adult cards as well as kids and teens.

is probably the best value stamp set at just £15 as it allows you to personalise any project you wish.

Hope you have a go at changing some of the characters in the Magical Day stamp set.

Stampin Up Magical Day Knight in Shining Armour

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.

Stampin Up Magical Day. is such a lovely bundle with Unicorns, Wizards, Dragons and Knights giving the perfect fairy tale images to use for many different types of cards.

I wanted to make a Valentine card using the Knight and the Unicorn, so I took the unicorn and coloured as a horse and removed the horn. I coloured the Knight and then put him on the horse to make a Knight in shining armour.

All of us ladies look for or are sometimes lucky enough to have a knight in shining armour so this would be perfect for any occasion where you need to send a card to one of these amazing people.

This is a lovely die set with the heart and love is perfect for those Valentine cards.

Stampin Up Magical Day Unicorn

Hello and welcome to Amethystarcrafting. My name is Jane Allmark and I'm a UK Independent Stampin Up Demonstrator.

MAGICAL DAY BUNDLE. is such a great set with Unicorns, Dragons, Mermaids and Knights to create some beautiful mythical cards and projects.

How to make a Magical Day Unicorn card
  • Stamp 3 unicorns is Basic Black ink and colour using Stampin Blends. To achieve the pink outline use the Pink Pirouette dark Blend and the Lifter around the edge to give a soft outline to the Unicorn.
  • Mount on Painted With Love Speciality Dsp. this paper has lovely gold embossing and the hearts work perfectly for this project.
  • The sentiment is from Ribbon of Courage bundle. with the heart framelits die.
  • To make this card pop each of the elements are mounted on gold die cuts and then a drop shadow is created to give a gold edge.  For the heart I cut out two gold hearts and mounted them under the sentiment to give a complete gold edge.
  • The finished card was mounted on some Calypso Coral cardstock and on a Whisper White card base.

What is a "Drop Shadow" and how to create one.

Drop shadow is term for creating a layer of colour underneath a topper element by cutting an exact image using the same framelits or dies and then gluing them together slightly off centre to either the right or left to create the drop shadow.  The unicorns and the heart in the above card all used the drop shadow technique.

This is probably the most luxurious dsp to buy at the moment as it is embossed with gold to give a beautiful feel to any card project.

Don't forget that until the end of March for every £45 you spend in any of the current catalogues you can choose a FREE product.  This is called SALE-A-BRATION.
